Danish producer, singer, and songwriter Østen is set to release his debut album Daylight on October 25, 2024. The album explores personal themes like rootlessness, depression, and loss, blending hip-hop, pop, and symphonic elements with Østen’s poetic songwriting.
Having previously co-produced for Artigeardit and Barselona while working as an assistant to Frederik Thaae, Østen now steps into the spotlight with Daylight, which Thaae also co-produced. This collaboration helped shape his skills and craft the sound of the album.
Influenced by a therapeutic light lamp, Daylight mirrors Østen’s pursuit of belonging and emotional resilience.With this release, Østen invites listeners into his world of intimate stories and rich soundscapes, marking the start of an exciting solo journey, including sold-out shows in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
