Zar Paulo consists of five high school friends Emil, Anton, Martin, Tobias & Johan from Aarhus, Denmark. Together they create a nostalgic, new-wave inspired pop-rock. Their music sees them balancing the joyful and miserable things in life, working from a theme they call ‘false authenticity’, with synth as a main character alongside lead singer Emil's intense vocals.
Spring 2023 marks the release of their debut album Elendig Software, after having released the first half of the album in October 2022. A 2022 that saw them perform at the most mentionable Danish festivals, and a nomination at P3 guld for Talent Of The Year.
